Position Summary
They will support Manufacturing with Engineering methods, tools and process required to ensure the successful execution of Manufacturing activities. To add value within the Manufacturing department by providing support to team members and manufacturing processes.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.
- Can manage & navigate ambiguous projects with minimal support from others.
- Experienced professional with adequate understanding of one’s own job area.
- Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Develop & implement effective & capable Testing processes to meet all critical to quality (CTQ) and critical to process (CTP) requirements within operations.
- Develop & implement effective systems of work for QHSE, capability, efficiency, and repeatability within Manufacturing
- Identify & reduce operational risk in support of operations.
- Identify & implement continuous improvements within Manufacturing to enhance & improve process performance, control, capability, capacity, throughput, cost modelling, waste reduction, QHSE, technology, innovation and understanding.
- Lead/manage & maintain the development of procedures, processes & documentation.
- Develop & maintain all detailed manufacturing support documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions).
- Lead structured problem solving, root cause analysis & quality improvement on product defects & testing process failures. Identify & implement corrective actions and improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
- Support the organization’s drive towards excellence in QHSE performance.
- Consistently d isplay required levels of engagement and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering’s culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement.
- Troubleshoot and determine the root cause of manufacturing problems / non-conformances.
- Establish key process metrics for monitoring & documenting process performance, capability, and quality.
- Competent in related IT or other systems including word, excel and work specific platforms.
- Any other roles or tasks as required to support business needs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- An engineering-based degree in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing.
OR
- The candidate has served an engineering apprenticeship, in an electrical or mechanical discipline with a relevant HNC or HND and relevant demonstrable, post apprenticeship experience.
DESIRED
- Lean / Six-Sigma experience will be a considerable advantage – ability to demonstrate application of improvement techniques and successful results will be required. Design for Six-Sigma (DFSS) will also be considered.
