Summary of Role
As Flexitricity continues to grow and diversify in a rapidly evolving energy landscape, we are expanding our Marketing function to better support our commercial objectives. With the increasing importance of brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and high-impact communication, we are seeking a driven and creative Marketing Executive to play a central role in shaping how Flexitricity is represented across digital and offline channels.
This opportunity arises at an exciting time of innovation and expansion. The Marketing Executive will support campaigns across content generation, public relations, and event coordination, aligning with Flexitricity’s commercial strategy and helping us engage new and existing audiences.
Key Responsibilities As part of the Sales, Account Management and Marketing team, you will:
- Create and manage compelling content for various channels including website, LinkedIn, email campaigns, and partner materials that supports brand positioning, thought leadership, and customer education.
- Collaborate with internal experts (engineering, trading, operations) to translate complex technical information into accessible, engaging marketing messages.
- Coordinate PR campaigns in collaboration with external agencies and internal stakeholders, helping to maintain Flexitricity’s position as a thought leader in energy flexibility.
- Support event planning and logistics for industry conferences, customer events, and exhibition.
- Help maintain and develop marketing assets and sales collateral
- Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistency and professionalism across all customer and public-facing materials.
Candidate Profile - Has 2 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or PR role, ideally within a technical or B2B environment.
- Demonstrates a passion for content generation and storytelling, with excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Is enthusiastic about public relations and confident in coordinating media or partner communications.
- Has experience managing or supporting events — whether digital webinars or in-person exhibitions.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable liaising across teams and with external partners.
- Brings creative flair and a proactive mindset to identifying new opportunities to promote Flexitricity’s brand and services.
Where does the role sit within the business?The role sits within the Commercial function of the business, reporting to the Marketing Manager.
LocationCentral Edinburgh, with hybrid working of a minimum expectation of two days per week in the office.
Candidate Essential
- Strong copywriting and content development skills
- Highly organised and detail-focused
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable- Bachelor’s or CIM qualification in Marketing, PR or Content creation
- CMS and CRM proficiency, Hub Spot, Word Press etc
