THE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a commercially minded and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the

planning, execution and optimisation of multi-channel marketing campaigns across our leading

portfolio of B2B retail events. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced marketer ready to

take full ownership of campaign strategy and performance – and contribute directly to the growth

and success of our shows.

You’ll play a key role in developing compelling campaigns that engage audiences, drive registrations,

and support our commercial goals. Working alongside the Senior Marketing Manager and wider

team, you’ll oversee campaign delivery from concept to execution – managing channels, messaging,

timelines, and budgets – and ensuring our events cut through in a competitive landscape.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans for our retail events, aligning with brand and business objectives
  • Develop clear campaign strategies including audience targeting, positioning, messaging, content, and offers
  • Own the execution of campaigns across email, social, digital advertising, media

partnerships, PR and content

  • Manage event websites – including content updates, CRO initiatives, performance analysis

and improvements

  • Monitor and report on campaign performance (registration, engagement, MQLs), using

insight to improve future activity

  • Create, brief, and oversee the production of marketing communications and sales collateral
  • including emails, adverts, landing pages and more
  • Build and manage relationships with media partners, associations, and sponsors, ensuring

value and delivery of marketing agreements

  • Manage event marketing budgets, maintaining accurate trackers, raising POs, and ensuring efficient spend and timely invoice processing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, operations and design teams to ensure

cohesive and impactful messaging

  • Develop case studies, testimonials, and visitor stories to support acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Support onsite marketing delivery during events – managing live content, interviews, and

visitor engagement

  • Provide guidance and support to junior marketing team members as needed


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing role, with demonstratable experience owning and

delivering full campaign cycles

• Practiced in managing and implementing all aspects of the marketing mix.

• Experience in stakeholder (internal and external) management.

• Experience in budget management, with an analytical, data-driven and highly structured

approach to decision-making

• Results-focused, able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics

• Highly organised, detail-orientated, and confident managing multiple projects and

deadlines

• A proactive, collaborative mindset – eager to take ownership and contribute to team and

business success

• Ability to deliver presentations clearly, and succinctly convey information and ideas through

a variety of media to individuals or groups within the team, in a manner that engages the

audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

• Proficient in CRM and marketing platforms (e.g. Dotdigital, HubSpot, WordPress, Meta Ads,

LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics etc.)

• Experience of working within the events industry or key market sectors desirable.

• Degree in business or marketing desirable.

• Agile mindset and ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
