Overall Purpose of the Role
Marketing Managers work closely with Leigh Day's legal teams acting as trusted advisors, collaborating closely and owning end-to-end marketing strategy. This role will support our renowned Human Rights department at Leigh Day, planning, delivering and evaluating marketing campaigns and events. leading on strategic marketing planning and implementation, opportunity spotting, and line managing a small team. Managers are key representatives of the Marketing function, promoting alignment between departmental and firmwide goals.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities.
- Create and manage marketing plans, including budgets, KPIs, and associated campaigns.
- Ensure alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.
- Track performance, deliver comprehensive reports and recommend improvements based on results.
Management
- Line manage team members and delegate tasks effectively.
- Allocate shared marketing resources appropriately.
- Develop internal processes to enhance marketing efficiency.
- Manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external agencies.
Marketing Execution
- Ensure all marketing content adheres to brand standards.
- Select suitable marketing channels based on audience insight.
- Map and influence the buyer journey.
- Leverage analytics to optimise campaigns and strategies.
- Stay informed on industry and legal sector trends.
Additional Responsibilities
- Deliver ad-hoc marketing projects.
- Review and enhance digital marketing reports.
- Support team cohesion and interdepartmental collaboration.
- Set and manage the annual marketing budget.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 4+ years in a marketing role, preferably in professional services.
- Strong grasp of data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in paid social and search advertising tools.
- Proven ability to manage projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM, email marketing platforms, and campaign reporting tools.
- Experience managing digital and social media campaigns.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, HTML, and CMS platforms.
- Excellent copywriting abilities.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in a legal environment.
- Ability to write marketing plans and proposals for senior stakeholders.
