BAM UK&I are looking for a Master Data Specialist to coordinated and accurate setup and maintenance of master data objects across Infrastructure, Construction and Ireland segments and the Enabling Services support functions in the ERP solutions and supporting applications.
Your mission
• Working closely alongside colleagues focused on specific master data management e.g. Projects, Business Partner, Materials and Finance master data.
• Engages closely with all stakeholders, most notably Business Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts for T2R, O2C, S2P, R2R, AM, H2R.
• Engages with Operations, Procurement, IT and Commercial employees across all UK&I businesses, to ensure Master Data is managed and maintained to an excellent standard to facilitate all business processes.
Accountabilities
• Assist with Data Migration activities for the implementation of new ERPs and applications by:
o Identifying data objects, and in agreement with Key Stakeholders, agreeing cleansing rules
o Managing the extracts of master data for cleansing
o Monitoring cleansing activities for accuracy and progress
o Performing the transformation of master data in preparedness for data loads
o Assisting with the execution of data loads
o Assist in the reconciliation of data loads
• Assist in the implementation and functional management of a Master Data Governance tool
• Generate management reports and KPI’s to validate Master Data integrity and quality
• Assist with the creation and management of Master Data in line with agreed methodology and ensure that these are available to the organisation in line with established SLA’s
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of appropriate master data management documentation such as policies, standards, controls, and master data dictionaries
• Support the business in operating an efficient master data onboarding process
• Train Master Data Requestors on the Master Data processes
• Participate in Master Data cleansing projects to improve the quality of BAM Master Data
• Assist the business and Shared Services Master Data Manager in the design of new processes and procedures for Master Data as required
Who are we looking for?
Previous experience on ERP programmes as a Data Migration Specialist, or Business Analyst, and have experience of working closely with a Master Data team.
Has the technical skills to manage Master Data Governance tooling and the ability to effectively manage data uploads and system processes – e.g. Microsoft applications, ETL tooling experience desirable.
Knowledge of ERP data objects and Master Data management in at least one of the following workstreams: T2R, O2C, S2P, R2R, AM, H2R
Ideally, they will have worked on ERP programmes as a Data Migration Specialist, or Business Analyst, and have experience of working closely with a Master Data team.
They will have good technical skills and experience of assisting in the management of a MDG tool, strong administrative skills, with the emphasis on accuracy rather than speed.
They will have strong communication skills to be able to liaise with other departments/clients in a professional manner at all levels and most important, be an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in the work.
