Material Controller

Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.

The Materials Controller role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) and is based on site at our Chadderton, Oldham site 5 days a week.



As the Materials Controller, you will be working closely with suppliers is key to ensuring timely material delivery and meeting production schedules and customer demands. This involves addressing daily exception messages, adjusting system parameters, and overseeing on-time, complete deliveries to uphold optimal inventory levels.



Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• Responsible for actioning all MRP exception messages on a daily basis
• Manage inventory levels and check for any potential risks to supply, escalate to Supply Chain Engineer (Supplier) and support with the action plan to recovery
• Build relationships with suppliers ensuring the deliveries are received on time in full, participating in Supplier On Time Delivery activities
• Ensuring status of all purchase orders with suppliers are up to date and closed in a timely manner

Qualifications & Technical knowledge:



Essential

• Experience in the use of ERP systems.
• Experience with and sound knowledge of the basics of inventory management.
• Good level of IT understanding, including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Experience in inventory and material control within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail, with a methodical and logical analytical approach.
