Position Summary
Join our outstanding team at Thermo Fisher Scientific for a key role in FBS Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pulling material from internal software systems
- Picking and packing client orders with precision
- Booking courier transport to ensure timely deliveries
- Completing GMP paperwork with flawless accuracy and timeliness
- Receiving deliveries of biological samples and recording them in the relevant software system
- Balancing and maintaining inventory against client documentation and internal software
- Disposing of material as required, following strict guidelines
- Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations
- Supporting and maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies including MHRA (GMP), HTA, HFEA, and ISO 9001-2008 accreditation
- Ensuring all job-related paperwork is accurate, error-free, and completed in real time as per SOPs under supervision
- Exhibiting appropriate behaviours, language, and appearance at all times on the job or at company events
- Performing client-specific tasks as required, including responding to client emails
- Operating in a repository environment, which may involve working with dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, and hazardous and infectious agents, as well as marked changes in temperature
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- GCSE level or equivalent education
- Proficiency in IT, preferably with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow SOPs
- Competence in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume
- Proven track record of build good working relationships with others
- Capability to work under pressure and support team members
- Experience working in a GMP (GxP) environment is desirable
- Physical ability to type, sit, stand, walk, and lift/carry up to 25kg
- Candidates must pass a 10-year background check covering criminal records, qualifications, employment history, and credit.
