Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Material Handling Manager in the Part Operations Department to join us at our aftersales site in Costessey, Norfolk.
Summary:
This is a key role within the ASO Part Operations transformation team and will lead the Material Handling and logistics teams.
The role is responsible for the planning and execution of all aspects of warehouse, material handling & Logistics operations, at our Longwater site.
The Material Handling Operations Manager will achieve KPI targets related to health & safety, material availability, inventory accuracy and door-to-line delivery performance, executed through a culture of strong leadership, teamwork and commitment.
What You'll Do:
- Implement & develop the material handling and Logistics operations, to deliver the objectives of the Lotus organisation, in accordance with safety, cost and operational execution targets.
- Develop, implement and execute processes, that ensure consistent quality and delivery, in material handling and Logistics operational tasks.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Customer Satisfaction levels.
- Improve internal efficiencies and customer satisfaction, by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance performance and customer service.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits focused on Safety, 5S and Operational Effectiveness (availability, productivity & quality).
- Analyse Sales Orders, Returns, and Invoicing data, to identify trends and communicate actionable insights to internal and external teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Some travel may be required between the Lotus sites.
What You'll Bring:
- Experienced in automotive manufacturing operations.
- Highly experienced as a warehouse operations / logistics manager.
- Highly experienced in SAP S4 Hana and WMS applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Strong people/performance management skills.
- Able to make systematic and logical judgments.
- Fosters a culture of warehouse/logistics functional excellence.
- Strong self-management skills, including organisation, planning, and self-motivation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to maintain strong relationships with dealers and teammates.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

This role will involve the following work pattern:
Week 1: Monday - Thursday: 08:15am - 5.15pm
Friday - 08:15am - 12:15pm
Week 2: Monday - Thursday: 09:00am - 5.15pm
Friday - 09:00am - 4:30pm
