Dalkia is looking for a skilled and motivated Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site team at Birmingham City University. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where your technical ability helps power the learning of thousands of students each day.
Working across a diverse and modern campus estate, you’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, helping us maintain safe, efficient, and fully operational buildings for staff, students, and visitors.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of building services equipment.
· Responding to reactive and emergency breakdowns
· Conducting fault finding, diagnosis, and carrying out repairs.
· Ensuring work is completed to agreed service levels and documented electronically via tablet or smartphone.
· Maintaining accurate site records and logbooks.
· Keeping equipment areas clean and ensuring plant longevity through housekeeping and inspection.
· Supporting energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities.Working in full compliance with all health & safety, compliance, and local procedures.
. Maintaining a professional and helpful customer-facing approach, whether in person, on the phone, or via email.
What We’re Looking For
· Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a customer-facing environment.
· Strong fault-finding, maintenance, and repair skills across building services systems.
· A proactive, safety-conscious approach and attention to detail.
· Confident using digital tools such as tablets or smartphones to record work and access job information.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· A full UK driving licence.
