Salary: Up to £36,850.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Materials Manager to join their team of staff in the Materials department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Provide a comprehensive and agreed Materials services to hospital departments ensuring materials are available in the right location, at the correct quantity within an appropriate lead time.
- Effectively manage the hospital stock and all inventory processes by understanding and setting the levels within the hospital to meet their actual and planned activity levels and advising on the appropriate stock items and suppliers to achieve best value and quality.
- Provide a Pick to Case Service, ensuring products are accurately selected and made available to an agreed lead time in accordance with Theatre list planning. To regularly review and continuously improve the service in conjunction with the Theatre Manager.
- Responsible for the total stock budget on site (excluding pharmaceuticals) – working with HODs on stock levels, oversee P2P processes compliance to ensure that KPI’s are met and where possible beaten:
- Be a key enabler in the uptake and compliant use of the contracted ranges of product.
- Provide an efficient and effective service to key stakeholders and internal customers throughout the hospital – working to internal service level agreements.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Effective leadership experience with the ability to motivate and empower within the team.
- Experience of utilising purchasing/inventory systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with evidence of effective communication
- A minimum of GSCE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent.
- Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
- Customer service skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
