An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust as a band 8a Matron. We are pleased to be looking for a senior nurse to join the Surgical Division in the Critical Care Services
Directorate over seeing Theatres. We are looking for highly
motivated, passionate and enthusiastic nurse leader who is committed to delivering high quality compassionate care.
Your key role will be to ensure clinical quality standards are achieved by providing inspirational and visible clinical leadership to the Nursing
teams. You will be supporting the Head of Nursing and Senior Matrons in fulfilling the nursing quality agenda. Intrinsic to this role is the delivery of
high quality care throughout the patient’s perioperative journey in collaboration with the multidisciplinary leadership teams.
To carry out this challenging role you must have proven current management and leadership experience at band 7 or above within an acute hospital setting in two or more specialities. Demonstrating an ability to lead effective change within an Acute Trust. You will also need strong
interpersonal, negotiation and decision making skills with the ability to advance nursing practice.

A visible nurse leader and role model for a number of clinical areas with the responsibility and accountability for professional standards In conjunction with the Clinical Director & Group Directorate Manager, lead the implementation and delivery of the clinical service improvement plan. Providing expert advice to the Group Directorate on all nursing matters
Ensuring effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation’s objective
Professionally accountable and maintain the standards of professional practice as set by the appropriate regulatory body applicable to your profession or role. Accountable for identifying and ensuring improvements in patient safety, patient experience and effectiveness of service.
Required to contribute to the planning and execution of cost improvement programmes ensuring the quality of care is risk assessed and managed appropriately.
