We are looking for a confident and experienced professional with a proven track record in senior leadership, service development, and multidisciplinary team management. You will have a good understanding of maternity public health priorities, excellent communication and influencing skills, and a commitment to delivering equitable, high-quality care.
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the strategic direction, operational delivery, and governance of a portfolio of specialist services including maternity smoking cessation, diabetes in pregnancy, pelvic health, infant feeding, perinatal mental health, and contraception. You will unify these services under a single leadership structure, ensuring alignment with national maternity transformation goals and local public health priorities.
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of Perinatal Health and Wellbeing Services.
- Integrate and manage a range of specialist maternity public health services within a cohesive governance framework.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement robust governance structures to ensure high standards of clinical quality, safety, and performance.
- Monitor service effectiveness through data analysis, performance indicators, and outcome reporting.
- Ensure compliance with national initiatives, including the Saving Babies’ Lives Care Bundle.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service integration and patient pathways.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, and the ongoing professional development of specialist midwives and staff.
- Champion equitable, inclusive, and high-quality care that meets the needs of diverse communities.
