This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer based in our Edinburgh office. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems within various projects. Day-to-day tasks will include drafting and reviewing technical drawings, performing calculations, and collaborating with other engineers and designers to ensure project alignment. The role also involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Design, CAD software, and technical drawing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in performing engineering calculations
- Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams
- Commitment to sustainable engineering practices and innovative solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional engineering licensure or certification is a plus
- Experience in the construction or consultancy industry is beneficial
