Location: Norwich
About the Role:
- Workshop Fitter role based in the pump department: ability to strip / inspect / repair of pumps, motors and gearbox's.
- Creation of detailed inspection reports / fault diagnosis / identification of failure mode
- Decipher OEM drawings, tolerances and spare parts identification
- Working on, repairing and maintaining a wide range of rotating equipment including Motors, Gearboxes and Pumps working to and complying with the companies health & safety procedures and adhering to company SSW & RAMS.
- Working in ERIKS engineering facilities both in house and on site at a variety of customer sites in the area, within a busy 24 hour 7 day a week operation supporting strategic customers from a well-equipped workshop environment.
- To continue to encourage participation, innovation & creativity to improve the working environment
Hours of Work:
Mon – Thurs – 08:30 – 16:30 / Fri – 08:30 – 15:30
39 hours per week
1 hour break
Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- Level 3 Mechanical / Electrical qualification required
- Prior experience of Pumps, motors or gearboxes and overhaul
- Ability to work unassisted and solo when required, whilst maintaining good team ethics
- Understanding of detailed measurement techniques and working to tolerances
- High level of health & safety awareness in the workplace on customer sites
- Flexible attitude to learn new skills and functions within the team & role
