This is a key leadership role where you’ll take full ownership of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover. You'll be leading site teams, developing strong client relationships, and playing an active role in shaping our expanding presence in the North.

Emtec Building Services is a leading M&E contractor delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector projects, from early design and pre-construction through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of mechanical packages across a range of commercial construction projects, while supporting the development of your teams and identifying opportunities to grow the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading site and project teams, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Managing project budgets, reporting, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Overseeing variations and tendering additional works where required.
  • Providing technical support to clients and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentoring and developing your team, driving performance and encouraging professional growth.
  • Building strong client relationships that lead to repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Supporting commercial, design, and delivery coordination across contracts.

  • What You’ll Bring

    • Extensive experience working within the commercial construction sector.
    • Proven M&E Project Management experience with strong mechanical expertise.
    • HNC (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
    • Strong commercial, design, financial, and delivery knowledge across construction contracts.
  • Confident leadership style with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with a genuine passion for quality and delivery excellence.

  • What's In It for You

    • Attractive Salary Package: Based on skills and experience
    • Generous Holidays: 33 days of holiday (inclusive of public holidays), increasing with length of service.
    • Holiday Purchase/Sell Scheme: Additional flexibility to suit your needs.
    • Contributory Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our contributory pension plan.
    • Life Assurance: Peace of mind for you and your family.
    • Development Opportunities: Excellent training and support for career growth.
    • Wellness Support: Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and wellness portal.
    • Exclusive Discounts: Benefit from our Employee Discounts Platform.
    • Convenience: Free parking at our offices and a cycle scheme.

In return, you’ll become part of a dedicated and passionate team that values and rewards commitment and success. If this feels like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you.
