We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work alongside our team of Biomedical Scientists and Associates Practitioners, to deliver high quality care to our patients.
The successful candidate will be part of the Blood Sciences team, preparing samples for scientific procedures and performing laboratory based manual, semi-automated and automated procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases and the investigation of other pathological processes.

This vacancy will be considered for a secondment opportunity. Please note - if you would like your application to be considered for secondment, you must secure agreement from your line manager beforehand that you can be released to undertake the role.
- Receipt and sorting of samples into the department.
- Support the role of Biomedical Scientists (BMS) within Blood Sciences, under the supervision of the MLA Manager and HCPC registered staff.
- Pre analytical preparation of samples.
- Data inputting of patient information/requests onto the laboratory computer.
- Telephone enquiry and results service.
- Assisting in the general cleanliness and tidying of the section.
- Perform laboratory based manual, semi-automated and fully automated analytical techniques according to the laboratory SOP.
