This post holder will be an integral part of the Member Learning and Engagement team, which provides services to Members of the Senedd (Members), and their staff across Wales, under the leadership of the Head of Member Liaison.
The team delivers a varied programme of training and development activities and has a lead responsibility for engagement with Members and their support staff on Senedd Commission services and initiatives to support them in fulfilling their roles.
At this time we are preparing to welcome Members of the Seventh Senedd. This will involve the delivery of a new Member services information hub to simplify in-person interaction about Commission services for Members, as well as organisation of a welcome programme to equip new and returning Members with the information and tools to deliver their roles at pace.
Key Tasks:
- To design and deliver effective engagement activities to encourage and enhance Member and Member support staff experience of Commission services, including training.
- Management of the Member engagement work programme including prioritisation of work streams, projects and tasks to ensure effective service delivery to Members and support staff.
- Build effective relationships/collaborations with key teams and individuals across the organisation to seek and encourage improvements to ways of engaging with Members, to achieve service improvement and efficiencies.
- To manage day-to-day operation of the in-person Member Information point (Member Hwb) and actively contribute to the development of a customer centred and proactive cross-team culture, continually seeking ways to improve customer service within existing resources.
- To be responsible for the Member satisfaction surveys and evaluation of such, for the improvement of outcomes for Members.
- Consultation and engagement with Members, party groups and Member support staff.
- To work with / support the Training Manager to identify, design and deliver innovative training solutions in line with the priorities of the Commission in consultation with significant stakeholders and with the direction of the team leader.
- To provide leadership within the team, in relation to engagement activities in particular, and effective line management when necessary.
- Provide support and cover within the team for MLE budget management responsibilities as required.
- Measuring, evaluating and assessing the impact of engagement activities including surveys.
- Contributing your expertise to the shaping of procurement frameworks.
- Liaison with counterparts in other legislatures to develop common work streams and share best practice.
- Other duties within the CAMS service commensurate with the grade and competence of the post holder.

- Darparu arweinyddiaeth o fewn y tîm, mewn perthynas â gweithgareddau ymgysylltu yn benodol, a gwaith rheoli llinell effeithiol pan fo angen.
- Darparu cefnogaeth o fewn y tîm ar gyfer cyfrifoldebau rheoli cyllideb y tîm Dysgu ac Ymgysylltu â’r Aelodau yn ôl yr angen a hefyd gyflenwi yn ystod unrhyw adegau o absenoldeb.
- Mesur, gwerthuso ac asesu effaith gweithgareddau ymgysylltu gan gynnwys arolygon.
- Cyfrannu eich arbenigedd at lunio fframweithiau caffael.
- Cysylltu â staff cyfatebol mewn deddfwrfeydd eraill i ddatblygu ffrydiau gwaith cyffredin a rhannu arfer gorau.
