At Kier we're looking for an MEP Project Director to join and operate within our Major Projects sector.
You will lead the delivery of a major construction project in the Life Sciences/Healthcare sector where you'll drive excellence across safety, quality, commercial performance, and team leadership ensuring every project meets our high standards and client expectations
Location: Office/Site-based. Location likely to be split between Rushden and London
Business Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical (Kier Strategic Projects)
Reporting to: Operations Director
Working Hours: Full-time, Permanent. May require some travel/staying away
What will you do?
As The MEP Project Director You Will
- Lead the design and construction process from concept to completion
- Ensure compliance with SHE standards and promote a safety-first culture
- Manage project strategy, programme delivery, and stakeholder communication
- Oversee commercial performance, cost control, and contract compliance
- Develop and empower project teams, ensuring high performance and succession planning
- Maintain strong client relationships and represent Kier professionally
What do you need?
- Degree/HND in Construction and professional qualification (or working towards)
- Proven track record delivering major projects
- Exposure to technically challenging sectors would be advantageous.
- CSCS and SMSTS accreditation
- Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
