Overview

The Design Museum is the world’s leading museum devoted to contemporary design in every form from furniture to graphics, and architecture to industrial design. The museum reopened in a fantastic new building in Kensington in 2016 and has since welcomed almost 1.5m visitors, firmly positioning it as the destination for contemporary design and creation in the UK. It has three shops: in the museum’s atrium, at the exit to the ground floor exhibition gallery, and on the High Street.


Job scope

The Merchandising and Retail Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting successful inventory management best practice. You will ensure all shops (including ecommerce) are well-stocked, contribute towards achieving sales and margin targets, raise purchase orders, liaise with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of merchandise. You will ensure data on our EPoS system is accurate and kept up-to-date and assist the Finance team with the invoice payment process.


The ideal candidate will provide administrative support across the retail team, contributing to retail profitability through accuracy and attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
