Location: Leeds, UK
Employment Type: Full-time
Travel: 5 days onsite
Budget: 60-65 K GBP/year
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales CRM Functional Consultant with over 10 years of domain expertise in implementing, configuring, and optimising CRM solutions at enterprise scale.
The role is hands-on with a focus on advanced configurations, functional solutioning, and system integrations. The consultant must bring deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 Sales and the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including integration with Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Finance & Operations, and third-party applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Solution & Configurations
• Configure Sales CRM entities, forms, fields, views, dashboards, charts, business process flows, workflows, and business rules.
• Implement Sales lifecycle automation: Lead & Opportunity Management, Pipeline Forecasting, Quota Management, Territory Management, Product Catalogue, and Incentive Structures.
• Design role-based security, field-level permissions, hierarchical models, and data access controls.
• Configure system-driven notifications, SLA monitoring, KPIs, and escalation workflows.
• Extend CRM functionality using Power Platform: Power Automate (complex flows), Power Apps (model-driven apps), and embedded Power BI dashboards.
Integrations with Microsoft & External Systems
• Configure and manage native Microsoft integrations:
o Outlook/Exchange: email, calendar, and activity synchronization.
o Microsoft Teams: collaboration, chat, and activity tracking.
o SharePoint/OneDrive: document management and version control.
o Office 365 productivity suite for seamless user experience.
• Support cross-application integrations between Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) for end-to-end Lead-to-Cash and Quote-to-Order processes.
• Integrate with third-party platforms (portals, CTI systems, marketing automation, payment gateways, e-commerce, customer engagement apps) using standard connectors, APIs, and middleware.
• Define and validate data flows, mappings, and transformation rules across integrated systems.
Delivery & Support
• Conduct requirement workshops with business and IT teams, producing functional specifications, configuration design documents, and integration blueprints.
• Support data migration strategies, ensuring consistency and integrity across CRM and integrated applications.
• Prepare test scripts for end-to-end scenarios covering both CRM functionality and integrated process flows.
• Work closely with developers on extensions (plugins, JavaScript, custom APIs) where configuration alone is not sufficient.
• Participate in deployment, cutover, and post-go-live support with a focus on stabilising integrations and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 10+ years of hands-on functional consulting experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 Sales.
• Proven expertise in CRM configuration and functional delivery (entities, workflows, dashboards, Business Process Flows, automation).
• Deep understanding of Sales processes (Lead to Opportunity, Pipeline, Forecasting, Quote-to-Order, and Account/Contact lifecycle).
• Strong experience integrating Dynamics 365 Sales with:
o Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) for Lead-to-Cash, Order, and Invoice synchronization.
o Microsoft ecosystem: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Office 365, and Power Platform.
o 3rd party tools: portals, CTI/telephony, marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), ERP add-ons, and customer service platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, governance, and compliance in CRM.
• Ability to design end-to-end integrated process flows and troubleshoot cross-system issues.
• Excellent communication skills, able to run workshops and demos with senior business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant Associate (MB-210) or higher (Solution Architect).
• Experience with Customer Service, Marketing, or Field Service modules.
• Familiarity with Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Data Factory).
• Knowledge of AI-driven Sales Insights, Copilot, and predictive forecasting within Dynamics 365.
