Microsoft Infrastructure Engineering Team Lead - London Insurance

We are supporting a global specialty insurance and reinsurance group with operations across the UK, US, Bermuda, and Dublin in their search for a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineering Team Lead. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll strengthen the Microsoft Windows environment, drive automation, and deliver enterprise-scale reliability.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor an engineering team, driving enterprise-wide improvements
• Administer and automate Microsoft Windows estate
• Automate end-user computers and software deployments using Microsoft Autopilot
• Maintain performance of Windows servers and clients, including patching
• Deploy and manage end-user devices with Azure Intune and ManageEngine
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Windows server issues across global environments
• Support Citrix environments
• Manage O365 compliance, risk management, and Microsoft Identity Governance
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align IT operations with business needs
• Provide on-call support when required

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on leadership experience in Microsoft Windows Server OS, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure AD and local AD administration
• Track record of leading teams to deliver enterprise IT improvements
• Strong knowledge of O365, including deployment and optimisation
• Skilled in managing virtual Windows Servers
• Automation-first mindset, with advanced PowerShell scripting skills
• Experience in end-user automation and patching processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
