Mid-level DAT Developer

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a DAT Developer to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated DAT Developer to support day-to-day client requests within a multi-tenant, data-driven, cloud-based reporting platform. In this role, you’ll gather user requirements, adapt data ingestion methods to meet client needs, investigate data issues, and contribute to testing and documentation. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team to ensure the system remains scalable and robust. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server development, ETL processes, data modelling, and version control systems. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

• Develop, implement, and optimise database objects to meet client-specific and system-wide requirements.
• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality support and solutions for clients.
• Create clear and detailed documentation and reports for both internal and client use.
• Develop and maintain procedures and scripts for release controls and data migrations.
• Provide ongoing data management and general product support to clients.
• Perform quality assurance testing to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

About You

• Minimum of 1 year's experience as a DAT Developer
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and optimising database objects to meet client and system requirements.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server development, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data modelling techniques in a multi-tenant, cloud-based environment.
• Experience gathering user requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Ability to investigate and resolve client data issues with a detail-oriented and analytical approach.
• Proficiency in creating clear, comprehensive documentation and reports for internal and client use.
• Experience developing scripts and procedures for release controls and data migrations.
• Exposure to the financial services industry is advantageous, along with experience performing QA testing.
