How You’ll Make a Difference

The Middleware Platform Owner is the custodian of the Middleware, Linux & Database platforms at TSB, ensuring the stability, security and high availability of the platform.

They are responsible for the strategic oversight, operational management, and continuous development of the platform, ensuring it aligns with TSB's objectives and broader business goals. As the Platform Owner, they will champion best practices, drive innovation, and oversee the platform's governance, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.

The role will lead a team of around 6 inhouse resources and oversee the external teams from our strategic partners.

You’ll be responsible for the strategic oversight, operational management, and continuous development of the platform, ensuring it aligns with our objectives and broader business goals. You’ll also champion best practices, drive innovation, and oversee the platform's governance, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security. You’ll lead a team of 6 inhouse resources and oversee the external teams from our strategic partners. KS1 #Hybrid

What you'll bring

  • Proven senior leadership skills with the ability to build and develop both teams and technical functions to meet customer needs and within constraints such as budget and capacity.
  • Experience of working within Financial Services.
  • Experience of ITSM process governance (Incident, Problem, Change) and tooling.
  • Experience of maximising Agile Ways of Working and Third-Party Suppliers (Supplier Management) inc. Financials.
  • Experience of Risk Management Controls Framework and associated Audit activities.
  • Support Incident Management by ensuring effective team engagement & collaboration
  • Lead and manage the Middleware, Linux & Database teams maximising Agile, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture.
