About Designwerk
Designwerk is a proudly independent creative agency based in London. We specialise in brand expression and storytelling for some of the world’s most iconic events. With a strong focus on the sports and entertainment industries, we create immersive, high-impact work that brings brands to life — in digital, motion, print, and space.
We design and deliver premium hospitality environments, branded activations, and venue-wide experiences for large-scale international events. From conceptual ideas to technical execution and on-site installation, our work demands a rare mix of creative storytelling, spatial planning, and production precision.
The Role
We’re looking for a Midweight Spatial Designer to join our team full-time. You’ll play a central role in designing branded environments and experiences that are not only functional and technically accurate, but emotionally resonant and creatively ambitious.
You’ll be working as part of our events and experience team, collaborating closely with our creative directors, project and production managers, and the wider design team to deliver standout work across hospitality spaces, sponsor activations, pop-ups and venue overlays.
This is a hands-on role for a confident designer who thrives in collaborative environments and can respond quickly to evolving project needs. You’ll be expected to take ownership of key tasks while supporting the spatial team in maintaining creative and technical consistency across projects.

- Familiarity with large-scale international venues and event delivery
- Experience integrating interactive or multimedia elements into spatial environments
- Knowledge of sustainable materials and environmentally conscious design practices

Software & Technical Skills:
- SketchUp – essential for modelling, layout development, and dimensional accuracy
- Adobe Illustrator – essential for creating overlays, elevations, and layout plans
- InDesign – essential for building presentation decks and production documentation
- KeyShot or similar – desirable for 3D rendering and visualisation
- Confident in reviewing CAD outputs and interpreting architectural plans
- Comfortable working with suppliers and fabricators to communicate scope, materials, and detailing
- Experienced in using production spreadsheets and documentation to manage version control and updates
Key Responsibilities:
Concept & Design
- Translate briefs into moodboards, sketches, 3D models and polished presentation decks.
- Produce accurate venue overlays, plans, elevations and technical packs in line with brand intent and audience journey.

- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with the Creative Director and internal designers to align concepts with strategic goals.
- Work hand-in-hand with project managers on timelines, budgets and scope changes.
- Present design rationale to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Production & Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with production managers on scope changes / de-scoping and value engineering.
- Brief and coordinate external suppliers, fabricators and AV specialists; ensure all technical updates are understood and actioned.
- Verify print dimensions and layouts against supplier drawings; sign off proofs and prototypes.
- Technical Integrity
- QC all drawings to confirm dimensional accuracy, safety compliance and material suitability.
- Maintain rigorous file structure and version control across international unit conversions.
- Reference H&S guidelines, venue regulations and sustainability best practice throughout.
On-Site & Post-Event
- Attend site visits and installations, resolving last-minute issues while protecting design intent.
- Support post-event reviews, gathering insights to refine future processes and designs.
Project Scope
- You’ll be designing across a range of premium sporting and entertainment environments with varying levels of complexity. Example scope includes:
- Venue overlay design – walls, drape, floor treatments, barriers, florals, and branded decor
- Premium hospitality environments – spatial planning, elevations, and branded lounge treatments
- Branded activations & sponsor zones – small-scale builds or immersive installations
