RWT have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Band 6 Registered Midwife, with a particular interest in Fetal Medicine, to work as part of the multidisciplinary Fetal Medicine team who care for patients undergoing Fetal Medicine examinations, procedures and therapies.
To provide specialist information, support and counselling for women considering prenatal diagnostic tests when a fetal abnormality is suspected or diagnosed.
To provide care to women who have a known medical condition for which pregnancy may be high risk, or who have experienced a stillbirth, neonatal death or had a baby with an abnormality.
This post requires a high level of experience and expertise, due to the high volume of referrals it receives, and the unpredictable complexities presented to it.
This is a rotational midwife post, and the ability to work across all areas of the Maternity Unit is essential to the role.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Midwives to join our fabulous team. We have opportunities in all areas of maternity services including community.
We place our woman, babies, and their families at the centre of our service. We are a consultant led unit with a dedicated Midwifery Led Unit and deliver care to a diverse population with complex medical and social needs working alongside a team of Specialist Midwives. If successful rotational contracts are offered to ensure that you will gain expertise in caring for women, their families and their babies and you gain the experience to progress in your career.
Our shift patterns are flexible 8 & 12 hours long. Full or part time hours will be considered.
The Maternity Unit has around 5000 births a year, up to 20% of births will be on our Midwifery Led Unit, a 5-suite unit with 3 birthing pools and a home like feel that women and families value. We have a designated Maternity Induction Unit, offering facilities for women and families to start their birth journey in a more comfortable and supportive environment. Our Maternity Triage Unit offers space to assess women and ensure they receive the best care and are directed to the most appropriate person or department.
