Mixed Method Researcher
Leeds, Full-time
We’re looking for a passionate Mixed Method Researcher to join our rapidly expanding CRO team, with the ability to deep dive into user behaviours, motivations, and needs, translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
We're a leading digital agency, and our rapidly expanding Insights & Planning team is seeking a talented individual to help us create exceptional digital experiences for a diverse range of clients.
This isn't just about collecting data; it's about understanding people. You'll report to our Research Manager and collaborate closely with our Head of Insight & Planning, designers, CRO specialists, and strategists, ensuring user-centered design is at the heart of everything we do.
What you'll do
Lead user research: Plan, design, and execute a variety of qualitative and quantitative research, including moderated and unmoderated user testing, depth interviews, card sorting, and tree testing.
Manage surveys: Develop, script, launch, analyse, and report on surveys to gather crucial quantitative data and support brand tracking.
Generate powerful insights: Analyse research findings to identify patterns, trends, and key insights. You'll transform complex data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
Create user documentation: Develop and evolve user personas and customer journey maps to effectively communicate user needs and experiences across the agency and with clients.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work hand-in-hand with UX/UI designers, developers, project managers, and strategists to embed user insights directly into the design and development process.
Present & report: Prepare and deliver compelling research reports and presentations to internal teams and clients, effectively communicating your findings and recommendations.
Drive best practices: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our research methodologies and tools, ensuring we always use the most effective and innovative approaches.
What we're looking for
Proven experience: Demonstrated experience as a UX Researcher, User Researcher, or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced digital agency environment.
Qualitative & quantitative expertise: Strong experience in planning, conducting, and analysing a wide range of qualitative methods (e.g., user testing, in-depth interviews) and proficiency in designing, deploying, and analysing surveys.
Analytical prowess: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication skills: Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Information architecture knowledge: Familiarity with card sorting and tree testing techniques.
Impactful portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your research process, methodologies, and the tangible impact of your insights on digital products.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic agency setting.
User advocacy: A genuine passion for understanding users and advocating for their needs.
Bonus points for experience with brand tracking methodologies, SPSS and knowledge of various UX research tools (e.g., UserTesting.com, Maze, Optimal Workshop, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
