Job Description
The Mobile Plant Fitter/ Engineer will be responsible for the Servicing, Maintenance and repair of a range of Plant Machinery. You will be expected to work independently on site ensuring that all equipment is in good working order, meeting the required safety standards and operating efficiently. Or alternatively working from our E16 Workshop.
This is a full time roll with the possibility of overtime and weekend work as required.
Key Responsibilities
JOB ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on a variety of Plant Machinery.
- Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring all machinery is compliant with relevant safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and keep accurate records of work carried out.
- Maintain a high level of customer service when liaising with clients.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, always ensuring safe working practices.
- Travel to various sites as required, using company provided transportation.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or Equivalent qualification)
- NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance (will also be considered, but please note the salary will reflect this qualification level)
- Proven experience in Plant Machinery maintenance and repairs.
- Full valid UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS Card
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage time effectively.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in a mobile fitter role is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with a broad range of Plant Equipment, including Excavators, Loaders, Dumpers, Concrete Pumps, Generators and other machinery.
