MOT tester

LSH Auto is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art dealership in Birmingham. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough MOT inspections on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and environmental standards.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £30,000

Requirements

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Identify defects or issues that fail to meet safety and environmental standards
• Provide detailed records of tests performed, including results and recommendations for repairs
• Advise customers on necessary repairs to ensure their vehicles pass the MOT
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the testing area, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current MOT Tester certification is essential
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience working as an MOT Tester or in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with customers and team members
• A valid UK driving licence is required
