At GT Aero Services, part of the Sulzer Group, we specialise in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of Aeroderivative Industrial Gas Turbines, supporting critical operations across the globe. Your Impact
- Lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring high-quality technical output across all turbine strip, inspection, and overhaul work
- Oversee component-level repair processes, including hot section repairs, rotor refurbishment, and control system updates
- Provide technical support to global service centres, vendors, and on-site operations
- Define and deliver technical procedures (SOPs, POPs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Part Development teams to drive efficiency and reliability
- Support the development of long-term service partnerships.
- We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, but also the leadership and commercial awareness to influence change and drive performance.
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Extensive experience in gas turbine MRO — ideally including aero-derivative units, but broader turbine experience will be considered
- Demonstrable track record in strip, inspection, overhaul, and repair of rotating equipment
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with a drive to improve processes and deliver customer value
