Pilgrims Attleborough are looking for a Night shift multi Skilled engineer to join their team.
Working hours are: 17.00pm - 05.00am 4 on 4 off
Job Description
You will be proactive in your job role and understand the purpose of your job duties in achieving larger company goals. You will be responsible for the safe execution of engineering tasks for our Attleborough site such as scheduled maintenance routines, installation of new equipment, breakdown maintenance and fault finding. You will aim to reduce unscheduled downtime by immediate response and rectification of the problems through RCA techniques while ensuring food safety, hygiene and adherence to other company procedures. And aim to keep the PPM completion rate at 100%.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering follow up works.
- PPM schedule completion.
- Daily check sheet completion.
- As a potential lone worker you are responsible for managing your own H+S and escalating any tasks or unsafe situations.
- You will be responsible for managing and completing your workload with successful delivery of all requested and daily jobs.
- Report completion of all tasks on your handover.
- Where required for breakdowns longer than 30 minutes you will follow the escalation procedure.
- Immediate breakdown attendance, fault finding on electrical and mechanical components.
- Fault finding on PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and providing technical feedback and root cause analysis.
- You will ensure completion of any work in accordance with Pilgrims policies and procedures in safe manner.
- You will take responsibility in keeping the workshop and engineering areas always tidy, completing your daily tool box checks and reporting any damages or missing tools immediately
Key Attributes
- Will need to integrate well into a small team, 2x multiskilled engineers on nights.
- Able to faulting and repair electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, steam, control faults confidently and independently.
- Ability to self-motivate to keep busy as well as follow tasks set by TL.
- Confident, positive and ‘want to work’.
- Able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate well to all levels of business.
