Multi Skilled Operatives – Carpentry | Plumbing | Electrical
Are you a talented tradesperson with a primary skill in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work, but confident across multiple trades?
We’re looking for experienced Multi Skilled Operatives to join our busy Housing Maintenance and Voids Team, helping to keep our homes safe, well-maintained, and fit for the future.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a key part of our responsive and planned maintenance service, you’ll work in both domestic and commercial settings, handling a wide range of tasks, including:
- Plumbing and pipework repairs
- Carpentry and joinery
- Minor electrical works
- Painting, decorating and finishing
- General building maintenance
You’ll deliver essential repairs, upgrades, and refurbishments, making a visible impact every day for our residents and local community.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks
- Work flexibly across multiple trades to get the job done right first time
- Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants and clients
- Keep accurate job records and paperwork
- Support apprentice development
- Optional: Participate in our emergency out-of-hours call-out rota
What We’re Looking For
- A primary trade in Carpentry, Plumbing, or Electrical
- Strong multi-trade experience across the construction or maintenance sectors
- Valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Great time management and a "get-it-done" mindset
- Practical problem-solving and a commitment to safe working
- A team player who can also work independently and responsibly
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Recognised trade qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ)
- Experience working in social housing, public sector or local authority settings
- Willingness to undertake additional training or upskilling

Hours: This is a full-time role of 37 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £36,124 - £40,476, dependent on skills and experience
(City Pay Band 5), pro rata for part time.
