We are welcoming
expressions of interest from experienced mechanical engineers for a potential future opportunity as a
Multi-Skilled Technician. This is a
field-based role, supporting customer sites across the
South UK district, with occasional national, offshore or overseas work.
While this is
not a live vacancy, we’re building a pipeline of skilled individuals ready to join our technical operations team when
full time, permanent opportunities arise.
Who We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A mechanical engineering background (apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3)
- Previous experience (or willingness to be trained) in one or more of the following specialist services:
- Advanced On-Site Machining
- Leak Sealing
- Line Intervention
- Heat Treatment
- Hot Tapping
- Awareness of, and ability to comply with, Q.A. procedures and Health & Safety standards
- A full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- A flexible attitude to travel, weekend working, and staying away from home when required
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites
- Ability to pass a Medical Fitness Assessment – all technicians must complete and pass a medical fitness test to ensure they are safe and fit to attend customer sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver mechanical maintenance services in line with QA and H&S standards
- Travel to customer sites and complete allocated work as instructed
- Communicate clearly with customers and represent the company positively
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain tools, equipment, PPE and vehicles in a safe and professional condition
- Participate in required training and progress through accreditation levels as needed
Where You’ll Be Based
Role
This is a
field-based role supporting customers in the Southern region of the UK, so we are particularly seeking expressions of interest from individuals
living in, near or willing to relocate to:
- Wales
- South West England (e.g. Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset)
- South East England (e.g. Hampshire, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire)
- Greater London and surrounding areas
- East of England (south of Norwich) – e.g. Norfolk (southern areas), Suffolk, Essex
- West Midlands & Central areas south of Staffordshire – e.g. Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire
Being located within these areas enables more efficient support to our customer base in the South.
Working Conditions
- Work may be based in the UK, Republic of Ireland, offshore, or overseas
- Working away from home will be common, sometimes for extended periods
- Conditions may be physically demanding or weather-challenged
