The Role

As a Multispecies Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overarching accountability of a Sprint based agile delivery team to drive delivery excellence. To be successful in this role you will have a wide technical knowledge of the Azure platform across the technical stack with an understanding of what a highest quality application delivery looks like. You should also have a practical understanding of best practices and can guide, coach and mentor a team towards what a good end state delivery should be.

Your responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end delivery governance of the one or more agile based delivery teams.
• Set application development standards and procedures and drive the adaptation in the team.
• Define, track and achieve technical KPIs for the development, testing and implementation teams.
• Define and review quality gates for the delivery team.
• Oversee execution of Agile ceremonies externally with the customer and internal teams.
• Represent the delivery teams in Architecture, Product Owner and Management meetings.
• Produce delivery progress reports to all stakeholders.
• Face external and internal delivery review and audits as required.
• Support sales and pre-sales teams in responding to bids and RFPs.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Understanding of Software Engineering principles to deliver Modular, Scalable, Cohesive Secure and Performant Production ready systems.
• Broad knowledge of the Azure platform and related technologies like .net, C#, react js, node js, API and graph database (Neo4j).
• Knowledge of DevOps principles to drive CI/CD pipelines in an automated environment.
• Understanding of best practices in setting coding standards, quality gates and testing methodologies (Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance).
• Knowledgeable of Application Security and best practices.
• Experience in setting up KPIs in measuring success across the delivery team is essential.
• Ability to conduct code review sessions across the delivery teams.
• Possess professional background as a developer or technical lead.
• Great team worker with leading skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Knowledge of other cloud platforms like GCP and AWS.
• Experience in delivering projects in an Agile environment. Exposure to SAFe Agile based value stream delivery.
