NDT Level 2 Inspector to join our team in Derby.
Working as part of a high performing team, you will focus on the magnetic & Penetrant inspection on a range of components, working to instructions, specifications & standards. As the facility is targeting minimum standards in lean techniques, the role will include integration and delivery of Rolls-Royce Production System (RRPS) tasks which include tasks such as lean Manufacturing, Asset Care, Visual Management and Waste Reduction.

What You Will Be Doing
You will be setting up and standardising equipment, systematically inspecting parts, interpreting, and evaluating for acceptances or rejections, and document results.
- You will preferably have experience in an Aerospace environment or a PCN Level 2, be self-motivated and be able to work with little or no supervision as part of an integrated high performing team and you will have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
- Raising failed inspection and correction documentation, as well as Operation of SAP work booking system and INSPECT inspection results booking system.
- Work to the relevant Rolls-Royce Quality & Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures and involvement in Improvement activity.
- Responsible for delivery of all the components associated with the team’s accountabilities, the successful applicant must be able to work on their own initiative. Active participation in improvement activities will be required.
What We Are Looking For
- Knowledge of Asset care and able to solve problems and make decisions without direction.
- Use & understanding of stereo binocular inspection equipment and interpretation of Manufacturing Instructions & drawings.
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Standards & Technique Instructions.
- Qualified lifting and slinging, as well as HPC knowledge and application.
- Have NDT inspection experience in a tightly regulated manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Have a Level 2 (or equivalent) NDT qualification.
Please be aware this role is for a 2-shift pattern covering morning, afternoon, Monday to Friday.
