What will the role look like?
This is a 6-month role ending in March, and a retention payment equivalent to one month's salary will be provided upon successful completion of the contract. This payment is contingent on the individual's commitment to remain in post until the end of the contract term.
This role provides 1-1 support for NEET (Not In Education, Employment or Training) Young people aged 16-24 where mental health is a barrier to them progressing toward work, employment or training. The NEET engagement workers will provide tailored support for young people on a 1-1 basis, delivering interventions focussing on supporting them around their mental health whilst helping them to progress towards their employment/ training goals. Interventions will be delivered on an outreach basis within community settings, or the homes, of the participants, requiring travel across a geographical area of the city.
NEET Engagement workers will carry a caseload of participants for approximately 3-6 months, who you will engage with and provide tailored 1-1 support to them, identifying support needs, supporting them to manage their mental wellbeing and achieve their employment/training objectives.
NEET Engagement Workers will carry a caseload of up to 20–25 participants, each supported for approximately 3 to 6 months.
What we are looking for?
We are looking for someone to successfully support young people accessing the Step Forward offer to reduce barriers to education, training or employment such as housing, debt management, relationships and emotional wellbeing.
We are looking for someone to provide information, advice and guidance on education, employment or training including support with job searching, CV and job application writing, mock interviews and work readiness.
