Network Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, implement, and govern scalable, secure, and high-performance network architectures. This role requires deep technical expertise in enterprise networking and proven experience leading network architecture design decisions.

You will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and leadership teams to ensure the network architecture supports business growth, performance, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise-level network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN, data centre, and cloud)
• Define network standards, best practices, and architecture roadmaps
• Lead network design for new projects, upgrades, and migrations
• Ensure network scalability, resilience, security, and performance
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams on integrated solutions
• Evaluate and recommend networking technologies, tools, and vendors
• Support network security design including firewalls, segmentation, and access controls
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to network engineers

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking roles
• At least 2+ years of experience working as a Network Architect or in an equivalent architecture role
• Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data centre networking
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.)
• Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar)
• Strong understanding of network design principles and high-availability architectures
• Ability to produce clear technical designs and architecture documentation
• Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures
