We are seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain a mission critical, highly available network environment. This role sits at the heart of the wider IT landscape and requires a hands on engineer who is comfortable operating in complex, business-critical environments where downtime is not an option.
Key Responsibilities
• Administration, monitoring and support of enterprise network infrastructure
• Support of a wider network environment operating at high availability
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues across the IT landscape
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for existing environments and new network builds or configurations
• Gather technical and business requirements directly from internal and external customers
• Coordinate with third party vendors including cabling partners, ISPs and hardware suppliers
• Support network changes, upgrades and incident resolution in line with agreed processes
Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in network administration and support
• Strong troubleshooting capability across complex network environments
• Experience working in mission critical or highly available environments
• Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, routing, switching and network security fundamentals
• Comfortable producing clear and accurate technical documentation
• Experience working with external vendors and service providers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non technical stakeholders
