Opticore IT are currently searching for a
Network Engineer who is operating at a
CCNP level with strong general routing and switching knowledge to come and join the team. You'll join our excelling team, based in the
London area.
Opticore IT is a rapidly expanding specialist
Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.
This is a great opportunity to join our existing team within our Brodacast Media client working on multiple project streams at any one time. This is a Hybrid opportunity with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
What you'll be doing:
- To support all the different corporate internal clients and develop solutions and resolve issues
- Provide engineering services to our clients technology teams.
- Assist with strategy and architectural decision making.
- Provide technical domain expertise to network design authority as required.
- Identify potential issues or risks within the network estate, escalate for discussion, plan and implement remediation.
- Ensure best practice design standards are being adopted across the network estate highlighting any areas for potential improvement
- Pre and post change tests, using automation
What you'll bring:
- Good knowledge of switching and routing, across a number of routing protocols, but specific knowledge and history of BGP is a requirement.
- Good industry experience across a number of areas in the Network space.
- Education and certification to CCNP equivalent levels
- Demonstrable Security knowledge – Palo Alto – Panorama, virtual and physical device
