Overview
We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Network Engineer to join our NOC (Network Operating Centre) Team. The ideal candidate must possess BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance and a strong background in Telecom data network and systems support. This role is critical for ensuring stable operations and escalated issue resolution in a secure environment. This includes supporting network hardware and software, troubleshooting incidents, and working closely with Customer, L1 support, L3 engineers, and other NOC teams.
Responsibilities
- To manage WAN, and LAN network connectivity across multiple sites.
- Respond to and resolve network tickets/ incidents and service requests.
- Troubleshoot network issue involving switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Perform configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall rules and access controls.
- Collaborate with vendors and ISPs for link issues, outages, and escalations.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Support planned network changes and participate in network implementation or migration projects.
- Assist with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar for proactive alerting.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
Provide on-call or after-hours support on a rotational basis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- BPSS certification - must be currently cleared
- 6-10 years of experience in Telecom Data or enterprise-level network support.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
