Role - NOC Engineer

Location - Staffordshire (Hybrid)

Salary - Competitive

I’m looking for a motivated Associate NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid 2nd line experience who’s ready to step up, develop their technical skills, and support the stability and performance of our clients’ systems.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor services through our RMM platform and escalate alerts appropriately
Support tuning and optimisation of monitoring and alerting
Assist with managing backups, resolving failures, and completing restores
Help maintain patching schedules for servers and end-user devices
Support firmware/software updates and infrastructure maintenance
Monitor storage solutions and contribute to monthly reporting
Update documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
Assist with network security, certificates, and firewall changes
Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients

Skills required:

Strong knowledge of Windows desktop/server environments
Good understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and SAN basics
Experience with AD, GPOs, Exchange, O365, RDS/Citrix
Familiarity with backup solutions, DNS/DHCP, and PowerShell
2–3 years’ IT support experience (2nd line level desirable)
A-Level education or equivalent

Desirable: MCSA, MSCE, CCNA, CompTIA
