Role Summary – Why This Role Matters
This is a pivotal role in a newly formed team at the heart of shaping the future of electricity transmission. The Network Risk Engineer will play a key role developing and maintaining asset risk models that underpin our understanding of network risk. These models are essential for assessing long-term asset health, forecasting risk, and supporting strategic investment decisions. This role offers the opportunity to work across departments, contribute to the evolution of our risk frameworks, and help systematise a whole-network view of asset risk. What You’ll Bring – Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Experience in developing and maintaining risk models and working with large datasets in complex business environments
- Strong foundation in data science or a related discipline such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or analytics, with proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB, and familiarity with cloud tools and platforms that support scalable data processing and model deployment
- Ability to design and build risk models that generate meaningful insights, supported by strong data analysis skills and a good understanding of statistical techniques
- Familiarity with business decision-making approaches, internal and external performance indicators, and risk assessment techniques
- Clear and confident communicator, able to work well both independently and with diverse teams across technical and non-technical areas

What You'll Get
A competitive starting salary between £54,090.00 – £63,940.00 dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
