DUTIES OF THE POST

Day to day care of patients on the wards as appropriate to the grade of the post and under the directions of the consultants responsible, including:
Participation in ward rounds
The admission clerking of all patients
Initiating appropriate investigations and management plans under supervision of senior colleagues
Supervision of neurology day unit
Supporting liaison neurology
Outpatient clinics

Integrated full shift with some neurosurgical responsibilities/cross cover.
All junior medical staff are expected to familiarise themselves with cardiac arrest procedures and should attend a compulsory resuscitation lecture when the first arrive at the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust. Individuals will be contacted concerning this upon their arrival.
