About The Role
The role of a Working Capital Manager in Integrated Services (part of Business Solutions) brings together cross-functional capabilities and processes to deliver and drive commercial excellence across the firm. The role will require daily working capital delivery within finance whilst also looking after the operational delivery of other project work.
The role will include identifying service enhancement opportunities and proactively drive changes within the team. The role will include consulting with stakeholders to understand their needs and creating custom solutions to effectively resolve queries. You will require experience leading people in order to manage and motivate teams across various locations as you will need to demonstrate proficiency in resource allocation and workload management.
What Your Days Will Look Like
- Experienced in finance and working capital delivery, with the ability to deliver operational and financial improvements.
- Ability to produce metrics and analytics for reporting purposes.
- Strong business focus, along with a pragmatic and objective approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to consult and build relationships with senior stakeholders, including the ability to influence and engage with partners and senior leaders.
- Capability to handle both the operational aspects of the role and the long-term development of services
- Ability to connect current issues and future trends, adapting service offerings to address broader firm and business needs.
Header: This role is for you if:
- Meet regularly with business unit’s FLs, CFAOs, BSL, Partners and client engagement teams to review the effectiveness of the CAE working capital optimisation and FTSG team to ensure that the business is efficiently and cost effectively supported with sufficient resources.
- Meet regularly with the Cash Collections team, understand the admin blockages to ensure these are resolved in a timely manner to reduce the number of IIC days.
- Consult with business leaders and senior stakeholders to gain understanding of business needs. Challenge assumptions, present ideas or solutions to resolve problems.
- Take a lead role in managing the relationships with your BU Finance Team. Engaging on a regular basis and working collaboratively on key projects and targets, identify areas for efficiencies, process improvement and service enhancement
- Report key management information (eg working capital progress and predictions) to local leadership and LoS Leader throughout the month. Identifying trends, explaining variances and making suggestions for improvements.
- Ensure that all staff both onshore and offshore are fully up to date with all relevant policies, controls and procedures in order to be able to deliver outstanding client experience.
- Manage the performance of the team through a continuous process of planning, goal setting, coaching and assessment.
- Identify and effectively manage poor performance ensuring appropriate steps are taken.
- Support health and wellbeing concerns working with LoS people consultants when necessary.
