Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT Department employs over 20 staff and has an annual budget of over £2.5million. The department is highly specialised and services include: a comprehensive range of nuclear medicine including SPECT-CT, PET-CT, non-imaging tests, therapeutic services with inpatient facilities and osteoporosis screening. The department also has commitment to clinical research and development.
Experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist skilled in independently delivering high-quality SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and DEXA imaging. Proficient in interpreting SOPs and adapting imaging protocols to meet complex clinical needs. Competent in radiopharmaceutical preparation, intravenous administration, image processing, and patient-centred care in compliance with IR(ME)R and ARSAC regulations. Experienced in supervising junior staff and students, ensuring adherence to professional and technical standards. Active in radiation safety, incident management, and equipment QA. Engaged in audit, research, and teaching; delivers lectures and supports protocol development. Skilled in using RIS, PACS, and EPIC for accurate patient tracking and service coordination. Committed to personal development, evidence-based practice, and service improvement aligned with BNMS and Trust guidelines.
