Occupational Therapist for the Llandough Centre for Specialist Spinal Rehabilitation:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic spinal cord injury pathway. You will join a committed team providing integrated spinal care across the pathway. As a Band 7, you will be a catalyst for change, promoting effective leadership and clinical delivery, optimising outcomes, and ensuring management of data. The role focuses on delivering person-centred care, ensuring the Right Care, at the Right Time, in the Right Place. The service values an MDT approach, promoting training and partnership working. Flexible hours may be required to meet service needs.
- Provide expert clinical knowledge, opinion, and practice for those with spinal cord injury needs using evidence-based/person-centred principles and developing professional practice in line with national guidelines.
- Support leadership and specialist Occupational Therapy clinical delivery within the spinal cord injury unit, providing specialist training, consultation, and education regarding spinal cord injury in non-specialist settings prior to admission or on repatriation.
- Support the delivery of assessment and management within the spinal cord injury unit, plus outreach in line with national clinical guidelines.
- Carry a varied and complex caseload, lead a team of registered and non-registered staff, and work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide expert clinical supervision, support, and advice to the occupational therapy team.
- Manage staff and workflow within the designated staff group, maintaining professional standards within the occupational therapy team.
- Contribute to data collection and analysis.

Working with the Occupational Therapy specialist spinal cord injury team, you will support the continued development of a high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy Service.
