This role requires the advanced assessment, planning and delivery of rehabilitation programmes for patients within the offender healthcare setting who may have complex and/or chronic presentation. You will be responsible for determining clinical diagnosis and clinical treatment indicated, and to maintain contemporaneous records as an autonomous practitioner.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing to learn and develop.
You will have Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) degree level qualified (or equivalent) with current HCPC registration. Additional to this, you will have proven post-registration experience in the assessment and treatment of inpatients and general rehabilitation needs along with proven continued professional development.
This is a secondment for 12 months to cover the needs of the service

Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registration
- Up to date CPD portfolio
Desirable criteria
- Short courses at post graduate diploma level.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant post graduate experience with demonstrable experience in related clinical field which equips the post holder to be competent to carry a specialist caseload in specialist area.
- Experience of contributing to service development and implementing service changes.
- Understanding of supervision and delegation principles.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in same specialist clinical area.
