Job Description
Responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained working environment for our staff and visitors. This role is hands-on and varied, requiring a practical individual with a broad range of maintenance skills.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks across the site, including repairs to buildings, fixtures, and fittings.
- Perform basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating work as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Install fixtures when needed.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including minor landscaping, clearing pathways, and general tidiness.
- Respond promptly to repair requests and emergencies.
- Liaise with external contractors or suppliers for specialised work.
- Maintain records of maintenance work and report to the Site/Facilities Manager.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance role.
- Broad knowledge of general building maintenance and repair practices.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to varied tasks.

Skills And Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
- Experience working in an industrial or transport environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
