Join the Close Brothers Central Functions Team as a Operational Risk Analyst where you will support the identification, assessment, and monitoring of operational risk through high-quality data analysis and reporting. You will play a critical role in helping the bank maintain resilience by interpreting key risk indicators, loss event data, and control performance metrics.
Our ideal team member will have previous knowledge of operational risk principles, risk management frameworks, or relevant UK regulatory guidelines (e.g. PRA, FCA).
Responsibilities
Produce regular reports for key stakeholders including senior management.
Support the collection, validation, and analysis of operational risk data, including incidents, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk/control assessments.
Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and MI packs for senior stakeholders and regulatory reporting.
Collaborate with business units to understand and document data requirements for risk monitoring.
Use tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Python (where applicable) to extract, transform, and analyse large datasets.
Identify trends and anomalies in risk data and escalate emerging risks or areas of concern.
Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the Group’s operational risk management system (MetricStream), and where required, support risk management SMEs in their use of it.
