Role: Operations Assistant

Location: London Head Office

Role Overview

This will be an entry level role, covering a broad range of Operations, IT and facilities remits. This role would ideally suit someone with real drive—keen to learn, proactive, and eager to get stuck in. This role offers genuine room to grow for those who want to develop and take on more responsibility.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

Office operations: Assisting the Head of Operations with the management and day-to-day running of our London HQ;
Technical support: Working alongside the Head of Operations and the outsourced helpdesk to ensure that every member of the IPG team has the equipment and technology support to perform their own role;
Project/Development: Participation or support for project teams working on business improvements. Potential to include AI, analytics, cyber security, events etc.

Wider exposure to VC/Science: As a small team, the right candidate will have the opportunity to work with and gain exposure to our investment teams and processes as well as our capital markets and Parkwalk units.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative individual who demonstrates a high level of initiative and professionalism. This role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment and willing to engage in hands-on work to support the broader team. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team, and to interact and collaborate with all levels of seniority.

Our ideal candidate will be:

Personable and articulate, with the confidence and presence to engage effectively with external stakeholders and senior visitors to the group.
Academically strong, or with a strong desire to learn - an interest or background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) may be beneficial
Technologically curious, with a genuine interest in both hardware and software, and an eagerness to stay informed about emerging trends and innovations.

Naturally inquisitive, demonstrating a growth mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.

A team player, who contributes positively to group dynamics and is motivated by shared success.

No previous work experience is required. The role is suitable for an entry-level candidate with ambition and motivation; this role may also suit someone looking to build a career in Venture Capital from an unconventional entry point. The role will be predominantly office based at our Kings Cross London HQ.

Salary up to £35k based on qualifications and experience. Bonus, generous pension and benefits package included.
