Job Purpose
As the industry develops and modernises its current construction methods and further evolves its sustainable capabilities, we are growing and diversifying to meet market needs. Following recent investments in exciting new capabilities and equipment improvements, we can offer more services and increase productivity in this busy sector.
We are looking for an experienced building / construction technologist, with site / operational management skills and experience, to join our small and effective management team, based in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is unlike any other role in the construction industry, so you need to be able to flex, willing to learn, adapt and help the business grow.
Although the team may be considered relatively small with circa 25 colleagues, the devil is in the detail – our highly skilled technical team are pitted against some of the construction industry’s toughest testing challenges, including making sure the roof of Wembley Stadium doesn’t collapse!
Aligned with your academic and practical construction skills you will have demonstrable, appropriate, financial acumen and organisational skills. It is important that you have proven people management and leadership experience with the skills and abilities to influence, encourage and persuade key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
You will need to have an active presence on the shop floor, bringing our diverse team together and ensuring the smooth and efficient planning and delivery of all work coming into the lab. You will play a vital role in optimising performance and profitability, whilst ensuring health & safety and high-quality output is maintained.
